Prince Harry is reportedly unhappy about how his wife, Meghan Markle, is using their children to promote her lifestyle brand As Ever.

Markle and Harry share two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. Markle has been forced to defend her wide variety of business ventures in recent weeks.

In an episode of Hello! Magazine’s Right Royal podcast on Friday, The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson shared that the couple has had a difference in opinion regarding their children’s image on social media.

According to Wilkinson, Harry has made a point to keep his children out of the public eye to avoid scrutiny and constant attention. However, Markle wants the children to have an active social lifestyle where they can enjoy the outdoor world and be more visible to the public.

Despite Markle’s desire not to hide the children away, she has continued to not reveal the children’s faces, only showing photos of the children from behind.

Wilkinson shared, “My understanding of this is that, up to a certain stage, Harry would much rather his children were not seen.”

He continued, “He doesn’t want them to be papped…He’s got this idea that if he takes them outside of Montecito, there’s a horde of us out there trying to take pictures of his kids. They’re not, by the way!”

Regardless, Lilibet and Archie have appeared in a wide variety of Markle’s promotional content.

Wilkinson explained that Markle, who grew up in California, “Once said she would like to have a more California style lifestyle, take them down the beach, go out, do stuff. She doesn’t want to hide them away.”

“We’ve seen this more and more with the use of Lilibet and Archie. We don’t see their faces,” Wilkinson added.

He noted, “You could argue that Meghan isn’t exploiting the children, she’s just…well, maybe she is exploiting them…but she’s using them to display her brand. She’s a mother. A homemaker and cooking at home.”
