Big Brother’s second elimination show began with host Julie Chen reminding everyone that Elissa Slater, Helen Kim and Nick Uhas are the housemates currently on the block.

Pals Elissa and Helen obviously hope that Nick is the one to get the boot, but they're far from the only ones. Though Jeremy McGuire, the Moving Company alliance leader, wants Ellisa out, Candice Stewart is looking for a way to get the girls taking action against the guys – starting with evicting Nick. Helen tries to seal Andy Heron’s vote for the lone male, while Elissa works on Jessie Kowalski. Helen is hedging her bets, liking what she’s hearing from the housemates, but completely aware that she could be hearing lies.

A splinter in the side of gender-based alliances everywhere are Big Brother showmances – specifically Amanda Zuckerman and McCrae Olson’s, according to Howard Overby. Howard thinks that their blossoming relationship can hurt the Moving Company. Eventually, the Moving Company decides that they need to have a chat with McCrea about the situation. Spencer Clawson leads the charge and tells McCrea he thinks Amanda is going to figure out the alliance. McCrea reassures them that he’ll cut her loose when it becomes necessary, but for now he wants to keep things as they are. Furthermore, he sees Amanda as his closest ally, though she wants (contrary to the Moving Company) to see Nick go instead of Amanda.

During Julie's chat with the houseguests, she gets Jessie to talk about the current Big Brother showmances, and more specifically, her obvious desire to have one. She explains, "I think when you're in this kind of environment, it really helps to have a companion." Julie also asks the group at large whether or not they sometimes forget that their every move is filmed. Falling into the setup, Aaryn Gries answers, saying, “I don’t forget. I just am an open person.” The remark segues into more in-house discussion of Aaryn's racist and homophobic comments.

Howard and Amanda and a couple of other housemates are airing their issues with Aaryn’s insensitivity, malice, ignorance, etc. Amanda, ever the diplomat, reports back to Aaryn and says she understands she means her comments in jest, but advises she keep them to a minimum, as others are taking offense. How does Aayn reply? "I wish I cared more about this, but I don't."

During final statements, Elissa tries to paint Nick as the biggest threat, while Helen takes a higher road and refuses to campaign against either. The votes go down as follows: Jeremy votes to evict Elissa, Kaitlyn Barnaby votes to evict Elissa, Andy votes to evict Nick, GinaMarie Zimmerman votes to evict Elissa and Judd Daughtery votes to evict Nick. Spencer votes to evict Nick, Jessie votes to evict Nick, Howard votes to evict Elissa, McCrea votes to evict Nick, Amanda votes to evict Nick, Candice votes to evict Nick. The final tally – Nick, 7, Elissa, 4, – means Nick is the latest housemate to get evicted.

When Nick sits down with Julie, he says he had a feeling that Spencer may have turned on him. Julie tells him he’s right about Spencer, but that McCrae voted for him as well. That doesn’t surprise him either, as he blames McCrae's relationship with Amanda for messing with the alliance. McCrae, meanwhile, reveals his own game required him to get Nick out of the house. GinaMarie is inconsolable following Nick’s departure.

Finally, the Head of Household competition is upon the housemates, who had spent the previous night watching the big Brother Express make deliveries as preparation. For the challenge, called “Overnight Delivery,” they’ll be asked true or false questions about what they saw. It’s single elimination.

First out are Judd and Jeremy, who thought they saw a suitcase with a Paris sticker. Next to go were GinaMarie, Amanda, Andy and Elissa, who failed to notice slop in the delivery with the teddy bear. Candice followed them out because she didn’t notice the “this side up” box was upside down. Several more questions were posed to those remaining before they were introduced to a tie breaker – answer how many coke cans were delivered. They all correctly answer 168 except McCrae. The next tiebreaker – answer how long it took Jeremy to win the veto – was won by Helen, making her the new HOH.
