President Barack Obama will be a guest on Crackle program Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and will chat with host Jerry Seinfeld.
Obama On ‘Comedians In Cars’
It was announced Monday that Obama – despite not being a comedian – would appear on Seinfeld’s web series at the end of December.
“The episode featuring President Obama was shot at the White House earlier this month, and features both the President and Seinfeld driving a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe, and talking about life in the White House over coffee,” reads Crackle’s press release.
Seinfeld added, “Growing up in the ’60s my kid dream was always to be an astronaut — doing a comedy show with President Obama in and around the White House felt like going into space. ‘How did I get here?’ ‘Is this really happening?’ The president’s humor and generosity are the only reasons this was even possible. He was so easy and fun to be with. Being president and just a cool guy to hang out with at the same time made the experience my own personal moonwalk. It was an unforgettable day.”
The politician and comedian taped the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee episode while driving on the White House South Lawn. Eventually, the two will head inside the White House to a basement dining room to sit down over coffee and chat. Among the topics the two discussed was Obama’s life in the presidential residence – from the more remarkable to the more mundane.
Obama will appear on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee in the episode that will be released on Crackle Dec. 30. It will also be made available for streaming on the Sony Pictures’ online network and on Comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com.
