Leann Rimes Poses Nude To Mark World Psoriasis Day [Photos]
Country singer LeAnn Rimes commemorated World Psoriasis Day on Thursday with a series of social media posts and and essay for Glamour.
“We’re worthy without the makeup and the artifice. We’re worthy of love without having to work for it,” Rimes says in her essay. “You know when you say something you’ve been holding in for so long, and it’s such a sigh of relief? That’s what these photos are to me. I needed this.”
Later on Thursday, Rimes also thanked and encouraged fans, particularly those who also have psoriasis, on her Instagram story.
“Know that you’re not alone,” Rimes said. “I wanted to share in our humanness. So just know that you are loved, and you are worthy, as I tell myself the same thing over and over again. Just thank you for the love.”
Though there were negative responses to the photos, Rimes’ message resonated with fans that shared her condition and wanted other to better understand what they were going through.
I totally get it….this was me at my worst before skskyrizi. My head was bleeding and weeping. I cried washing my hair and it hurt to wear certain materials on my clothes against my skin. Thank you for sharing your story! pic.twitter.com/iD0HAA0Jsz

Er, education? Isn't that the purpose of having a World Psoriasis Day? As a child with psoriasis I was bullied, shunned, shamed. Education is key. As is tolerance, of course.
