Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin was arrested at Denver International Airport last month after he was caught riding on a baggage carousel.
Wes Scantlin Arrested
Scantlin was arrested for trespassing in mid-January after airport surveillance video caught him riding around the carousel before jumping off to give a bystander a high five. On the day of his arrest, Puddle of Mudd had a concert in Denver. A fan bailed the singer out of jail, but he still didn’t manage to make it to the venue until midnight, according to the New York Daily News.
Production company Rock Panther, which was running the event, posted to Facebook, “HUGE thanks to this man right here Levi Brite stepped up and bailed Wes’s dumb out of jail tonight! You are the man Levi!” Though Scantlin did made it, many fans were annoyed that they had to wait to long to see Puddle of Mudd perform. As for the promoter, they’ve vowed never to book Scantlin’s band again.
Scantlin was due to face his trespassing charges in a Denver court Jan. 16, but failed to show up, making him a wanted man in the Colorado city.
Scantlin’s rap sheet includes arrests on drug charges, public intoxication and vandalism.
