Mia Wasikowska hit the red carpet at the Crimson Peak premiere in New York City Wednesday in a bi-colored number.

Mia Wasikowska’s ‘Crimson Peak’ Look

Wasikowska’s Crimson Peak premiere dress was from the Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 collection. The black and white knit gown, which sat just off-the-shoulder, featured a pleated skirt. Wasikowska kept the accessories to a minimum, but added a pop of color with a red lip.

On the red carpet, Wasikowska posed with her Crimson Peak costars Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain.

In Crimson Peak, Wasikowska plays aspiring author Edith Cushing, who experiences a traumatic family tragedy. In its aftermath, she meets and marries a charming Englishman named Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston). She ultimately heads to his haunted home in England, where he meets his sister, Lucille (Chastain), and gets warned and wooed by her childhood friend Dr. Alan McMichael (Charlie Hunnam).

“This is not a ghost story, but there’s a ghost in it,” Wasikowska told The Guardian, paraphrasing director Guillermo Del Toro‘s pitch. “He’s got a really unique approach to the supernatural in his films. He always shows them very early on and they’re not really the things that you should be afraid of. It’s always the people that kind of cause the most damage in his films.”

Crimson Peak hits theaters Friday, Oct. 16.
