Keke Palmer Praises Single Parents Days After Giving Birth

First-time mother Keke Palmer gave a big shoutout to single parents just days after giving birth.

The 29-year-old actress announced her pregnancy in December while hosting Saturday Night Live.

During her monologue, she wore a long grey trench coat as she spoke about how well her year had been going. “This year has been an awesome year for me. I was in Jordan Pele‘s Nope.”

Palmer went on to mention rumors going around that she would finally be putting a stop to them. “I’m especially glad to be here, though, because there are some rumors going around. People have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby,’ ‘Keke’s pregnant,’ and I want to set the record straight. I am!”

Palmer proceeded to open her trench coat to show off her belly bump as the crowd went wild.

The Nope actress documented her pregnancy on her Instagram, as she was seen embracing her bump.

The fun ended on the last days of February, as Palmer took to Instagram to welcome her baby to the world.

Palmer captioned the post, “Hey Son!!!! 1. Only 48hrs of being parents! 😳 2. Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, “Someone” by El Debarge was a favorite. We became each other’s someone and made a someone, look at God! 😆 3. The baby love Rolling Ray, cause purrr. 4. “I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.” Hahaha 5. Palmer included pictures with her boyfriend Darius Jackson in the car, at the hospital holding their newborn, and baby Leo himself.

Days after the baby fever moment, Palmer took to Instagram again to praise all the single parents.

“When it comes to raising a kid, I already learned in these short few days that it takes a village, and sometimes that’s a privilege,” she said with tears in her eyes.

Baby Leo has Palmer in a chokehold as she captions the video, “I ain’t gon’ lie, I’m gettin’ COOKED!”
