Cher Files Conservatorship For Son Elijah Blue Allman After Being Accused Of Trying To Kidnap Him
Cher has filed for a conservatorship for her son Elijah Blue Allman’s finances, believing that he is currently unable to manage his assets due to his mental health and substance abuse issues.
Court documents claim that a conservator is “urgently needed… to protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury.”
Cher is worried that Allman will spend her trust on drugs and that his wife, Marieangela King, won’t make a reliable conservator.
King has accused Cher of attempting to kidnap Allman, a claim that she has since denied.
“I’m not suffering from any problem that millions of people in the United States aren’t,” Cher said of the accusations. “I’m a mother. This is my job – one way or another, to try to help my children. You do anything for your children. Whenever you can help them, you just do it because that’s what being a mother is.”
Elijah Blue is one of two children Cher has. He is her only child with her second husband Gregg Allman, who was known to have issues with addiction.
The hearing for a temporary order is scheduled for January 5, 2024, while a hearing regarding a permanent order is set for March 6.
