On November 20, 2022, Cher, 77, allegedly hired a team to abduct her 47-year-old son, Elijah Blue Allman, while he was celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife, Marie Angela King, according to a newly released court filing by King.

Despite hitting a rough patch and filing for divorce in 2021, the couple decided to give it one more try and reconnected in the days leading up to their anniversary back in 2022. King said the two were committed to working on their marriage and spent time alone, reconnecting in New York before the alleged abduction occurred.

On December 5, 2022, King filed court documents accusing Cher of kidnapping her son after about four days of not knowing where he was.

In the report, King claimed that four men barged into their hotel room and took Allman away, with one saying that Cher was the one who hired them.

Since then, King has yet to see her husband.

He is reportedly in Pasadena, California, checked into a rehab center. However, he is in a lockdown facility, and King is not allowed to see him. Furthermore, specific information about the facility’s whereabouts has yet to be disclosed to her.

Allman has suffered from drug addiction for a long time. He started using weed and ecstasy at 11 years old before turning to harder drugs, including heroin and opiates.

The alleged kidnapping occurred after Allman collapsed in front of his hotel steps. Fortunately, the staff was able to pick him up from the ground and take him safely inside.

The hotel staff has been regularly contacting his mother due to his behavior.

King says she has also been allegedly thrown out of her house, unable to retrieve her belongings. She claims she cannot “afford housing” if she does not receive her support payments.
