Travis Kelce drew a line in the sand when it comes to the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama by unfollowing Ryan Reynolds on Instagram on Monday.

The reason behind the unfollow appears to be the actress’s messy legal drama.

Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, 41, for sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us, and Baldoni filed a defamation suit in response.

Several reports have suggested Swift is unhappy that Lively dropped her name in texts over the Baldoni matter.

Social media is already abuzz with speculation about why Kelce unfollowed Reynolds, and one user on TikTok, @coolmomjamie, explained that she believes there’s more going on behind the scenes. In her video she said, “The reason this is a big deal is: One, the information is dropping on a Monday, and as a former PR person, we like to drop bad news on a Friday, so for this to come out on a Monday means there’s a lot more in this space.”

She also suggested that, as Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Kelce unfollowing Reynolds is a purposeful “soft launch” to see the reaction on social media to Swift backing away as well. “You don’t have to unfollow somebody on Instagram, right? You could just ignore them, so an unfollow is a message. And the reason that Travis is doing it, unfriending or unfollowing Ryan, is what we call a soft launch for Taylor to take a step back.”

Swift isn’t following anyone on her official account.

Early last year, Swift was seen supporting Kelce at Super Bowl LVIII alongside Lively, Lana Del Rey and Ice Spice
