Mama June Faces Possibility Of Losing Custody Of Daughter Honey Boo Boo Following Drug Arrest

June Shannon, better known as Mama June, has seen better days. Her mugshot has been released following her arrest last week, and she stands to lose custody of her daughter, Alana Thompson, known famously as Honey Boo Boo.

Shannon got into a fight with her boyfriend Eugene Doak at a gas station last week. Police were called onto the scene and found cocaine and a crack pipe in Shannon’s truck. The pair were arrested and charged with alleged possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Doak was also charged with third-degree domestic violence.

Shannon was released from jail later that day, but she now stands to lose everything.

Shannon and Alana’s father, Mike Thompson, have had a long arduous custody battle over Alana. Shannon’s drug arrest could possibly turn the tide and lose her custody of her daughter.

Thompson believes that Shannon’s arrest could lead to him gaining visitation rights to see his daughter more often. Mama June has full custody over Alana and her father has limited visitation privileges.

Shannon and her daughter came into prominence following their appearances on TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras. This success quickly spun into multiple reality shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Mama June: From Not to Hot.

Shannon is scheduled for a court appearance on March 27.
