NBA Star Rudy Gobert’s Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend, Julia Bonilla, Slams Him After He Evicts Her From Home
Julia Bonilla, the ex-girlfriend of Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, appeared to slam him in a series of posts on social media over the weekend.
Bonilla posted a meme that read, “When you know you can destroy their image and narrative by telling your side of the story, but then you remember rotten fruit always falls on its own.
“You have every right to speak your truth – to share what happened and how it affected you. Their discomfort isn’t your responsibility. If they wanted to be seen in a better light, they should’ve treated you better.”
She followed this post up with a series of photos of her and Gobert’s son, Romeo, and a message which said she would always protect the child, and they would soon be “home, at peace and filled with love.”
Bonilla also posted an image of several large pieces of luggage and storage containers, indicating that she and her son were living out of suitcases since they no longer had a home.
“Onto our next Airbnb again,” she wrote in the caption.
In May, news arose that Gobert broke up with Bonilla as well as told her and their son to leave his home while she was pregnant with their second child.
Days after their break-up spread, Gobert attempted to make peace with a statement posted to his Instagram Story.
He explained that there had been “a lot of inaccurate information out there,” and he and his ex-girlfriend are “currently in the painful process of redefining our coparenting relationship.”
However, Bonilla said that the breakup was “one of the most painful times in [her] life.”
“Being a father is one of the most profound and meaningful [experiences] I will get to live,” the center also mentioned. “It is one of my most important life purposes and will be so forever. I’m fully committed to keeping the well-being of all the people that I care about.”
It is not clear what caused their separation, as Bonilla has been supportive of Gobert’s career.
After their breakup, she was allegedly looking to move back to her home country of France, and her ex-boyfriend wanted her to stay in America until they could determine child custody of Romeo post-separation.
On November 14, 2023, Gobert was involved in an altercation with Warriors forward Draymond Green, which resulted in Green being suspended for five games by the NBA.
Controversy and debate arose last May when the NBA fined the center $75,000 for his money-sign gesture during Game 4 of the Timberwolves’ second-round series.
