Kate Middleton & Megan Markle Look Stunning At Christmas Mass

The Royal Family attended Christmas Day services at Saint Mary Magdelene Church at Sandringham, Norfolk, England. Duchess Kate Middleton wore a stunning red coat to the services and accessorized with red gloves and heels. She also wore a combo hat and headband with her hair in loose waves. On her chest was a silver, leaf-shaped brooch.

Duchess Meghan Markle, now pregnant with her first child, celebrated her first holiday as a royal by wearing a navy blue coat over a matching dress. She color coordinated her leather stiletto boots, the gloves that she carried, and a hat with two feathers to match her dress. Her hair was up and in her ears were two small, delicate stud earrings. Last year, Meghan would wear a camel-colored wrap coat with a darker brown hat and boots. This year, she’s hiding the baby bump. While there’s no specific due date, some are saying to expect the baby as early as late March.

Prince William and Kate’s children were in Sandringham at the time but didn’t make the walk over to Saint Mary Magdelene. They won’t do so until they’re older.

After church, the Royals returned to Sandringham home for a turkey lunch and then to tune in to the Queen’s annual Christmas message in the afternoon. There weren’t any present openings that day. According to tradition, they gave out gifts on the day before, on Christmas Eve in a nod to the Windsor’s German heritage.

Queen Elizabeth joked earlier this year that her grandchildren and the new royal births have kept her “well occupied.” During her address, the 92-year-old said, “Closer to home, it’s been a busy year for my family, with two weddings and two babies, and another child expected soon. It helps to keep a grandmother well occupied.”

The Queen also emphasized those closest to her over the years. “Through the many changes I have seen over the years, faith, family and friendship have been not only a constant for me but a source of personal comfort and reassurance,” she said.
