Michael Enright, a British-born Hollywood actor, has left his life in California to fight against ISIS in Syria.
Michael Enright Goes To Fight ISIS
Enright, who had a small part in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, abandoned his life in Hollywood after seeing a video of the Jordanian pilot being burned alive by ISIS, he said in an interview with Dubai’s Al Aan TV.
“They need to be wiped off completely from the face of this earth,” Enright said.
Enright, 51, is currently fighting alongside the Kurdish People’s Protection Units and said he’s ready to die in the fight. “I didn’t come here to run, I came here to fight and if I have to die, then I die. I didn’t come here to play games,” he said.
Enright has no military background, and it’s unclear how much experience with firearms he had before embarking on this fight. His last credit listed on IMDB is from a bit part in an episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
The actor has immersed himself in Kurdish culture, including the Islam faith, adopting the name Mustafa Michael Ali.
