After visiting the White House on April 28 to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX win with President Donald Trump, Philadelphia Eagles’ cornerback Eli Ricks took to X to praise the beauty of Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and former adviser.

“Donald Trump daughter is beautiful damn,” he wrote. “After seeing her in person, Ivanka is exactly my type.”

Internet users were quick to condemn him for his posts. One user said, “She don’t like bench players bro find your way into a starting lineup first.”

Another sarcastically agreed and said, “Then stop being a bench warmer and go to her for that restraining order.”

Some users applauded his post, with one writing, “Happy you went big guy, never know when/if you’ll get the chance again. Liberal media has brainwashed a lot of your fellow teammates, good on you for seeing through that bs and being a man.”

Trump and Ivanka personally attended Super Bowl LIX and watched the Eagles take home the championship.

Eagles’ running back Saquon Barkley also attended the White House event alongside Ricks just a day after meeting up with the president for golf at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

In response to the negative reactions online, Barkley posted on X saying, “lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT.”

“Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand,” he continued. “Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump! Now ya get out of my mentions with all this politics and have an amazing day.”

Ricks showed support for his teammate by reposting Barkley’s message and photos of Ivanka attending the event.

Although Ricks, Barkley, and most of the Eagles were in attendance at the White House event, players including quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receiver AJ Brown, and defensive tackle Jalen Carter were notably absent.
