Michael Bay, 47, returns to the director’s chair in the upcoming movie, Pain & Gain. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, 41, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, 40, and Anthony Mackie, 34, as bodybuilders who get involved in a plot to extort, kidnap and murder. Tony Shaloub, 59, Rebel Wilson, 28, and Ed Harris, 62, co-star.

The film is based on a true story. Miami New Times writer Pete Collins wrote a series of articles about a group known as the “Sun Gym Gang” in 1999. Two members of the group are currently sitting on Death Row as a result of their crimes.

Bay’s last film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, grossed $1.12 billion dollars worldwide. It also received eight Golden Raspberry Award nominations, including Worst Picture and Worst Director.
