‘Boardwalk Empire’ Star Michael Pitt Arrested For Allegedly Attacking Ex With Cinder Block
On May 2, Boardwalk Empire star Michael Pitt was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse in addition to counts of strangulation in the second degree, assault with a blunt object and several other counts.
According to court records, four incidents allegedly occurred at Pitt’s home in Brooklyn between April 2020 and August 2021.
Pitt’s lawyer, Jason Goldman, said the situation is a sad reflection on our society.
“Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt — an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes — can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unreliable individual,” he said in a statement. “In reality, this baseless claim is suspiciously raised some four or five years after the alleged incident, from a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual relationship. We look forward to proving his innocence through the evidence and not through the media.”

There have been several other instances of violence and allegations against Pitt.
In July 2022, Pitt allegedly took a man’s phone and hit him multiple times, which led to his arrest, where he was charged with assault and petty larceny.
Later that year, the actor was also reportedly hospitalized and deemed “emotionally disturbed” after being accused of throwing items at people from the rooftop of a building.
In August 2021, Pitt was accused of strangling his former lover.
The actor pleaded not guilty to the charges on Friday and posted $100,000 bail. His next court date is June 17 in Brooklyn.
Pitt won raves for his performance in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.
Last December, veteran actor Ron Perlman praised Pitt’s “raw” performance in The Day of The Fight in an exclusive conversation with uInterview.
