Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas Are Engaged

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas announced their engagement on Instagram over the weekend.

The Game of Thrones star and DNCE singer posted identical photos to their social media accounts, showing his hand with a ring on her finger over his. “I said yes,” she captioned the shot, while he mirrored with, “She said yes.”

I said yes.

Turner, 21, started acting on GoT when she was 14, and has attributed her sex education to the HBO show. She and Jonas, 28, have been dating since last November, but didn’t make it official until January of this year. “She’s young but is beyond her years and is crazy, crazy mature. He’s never been like this with a girl,” a source told People. “He was such a dater before her but their relationship was much different from the start. She was just the one for him… Everybody’s very, very happy for them and their family and friends are all thrilled. Everyone loves them together.”

The couple share an adorable husky puppy named Porky Basquiat, and have been photographed walking the pooch a few times. They have been successful, however, at keeping their relationship private. “I’m in a relationship, but it’s a very private relationship,” Turner said in July. “I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care. And people I’ve met recently in my life have drawn me out of that. It really helps you own those insecurities. The things I tortured myself about before, I can forget about.”

“I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time,” she said earlier this year.

Jonas brothers Nick and Kevin congratulated the couple on social media. “Ahh! Congratulations to my brother… and sister in law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much,” Nick wrote on Twitter. “Congrats @joejonas and @sophiet so happy to welcome you into the family!” Kevin added. Sophie’s best friend and GoT co-star Maisie Williams also got in on the congratulating. “Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend on her engagement 💍 This is just one of MANY life milestones we’ll share. Love you both 💗 #mophie #jophie #holymoly,” she said.
