Mayim Bialik, best known for her staring roles on television’s Blossom and The Big Bang Theory, has filed a lawsuit against Hertz Rent-a-Car and a driver involved in a car accident a year ago that left Bialik with severe injuries. Bialik is suing for damages, including lost wages.

In August of 2012, Bialik was driving when she was hit by a 2013 Mustang that was in the possession of Chilean tourists at the time. In an interview, Bialik explained that the Mustang made an illegal left turn, causing the crash. It is assumed that the Mustang was a rental car from Hertz Rent-a-Car due to the lawsuit. Bialik was rushed to the hospital and incurred severe injuries to her right hand, including nerve damage, according to TMZ.

“I sustained significant injuries for which I am still recovering and will continue to be recovering,” Bialik told E! News about her reasons behind the lawsuit.
