Luann de Lesseps, 58, Shares New Swimsuit Photo After Defending Herself Against Age-Shaming Comments

Luann de Lesseps, 58, shared a dazzling backless swimsuit picture on Instagram this week – and received age-shaming comments once again.

In the scenic post, the countess of the Real Housewives of New York stands in clear water in a black cut-out one-piece and a Panama hat, facing away from the camera at a the chic island resort in St. Barts. 

“Ready for St. Barts? #RHUGT!” She writes alongside the image, indicating the upcoming filming of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.

Most fans appreciated Lesseps’ daring outfit and her toned physique, while some haters left negative comments on her post.

“Beautiful lady, why the need to ‘Photoshop’ the photo tho? Way too much,” said the first comment. 

“Grow up already. Your time has passed,” another one wrote.

The confident countess has never been afraid of clapping back at the unpleasant comments, as she responded directly, “Sorry, darling no photo shop here🔥”

This is not the first time Lesseps received comments about her in skimpy swimsuits. Back in April, she posted two pictures in which she wears a pink gingham bikini, with social media users leaving age-shaming comments on her being too old to reveal her body. 

Right after seeing the negative comments, Lesseps defended herself with an Instagram reel, pointing out a specific comment saying “Way too old boo!”

“I’m proud of the fact that I can still rock a bikini,” said Lesseps in the video. “Women should be able to wear whatever they want at any age as long as they feel good. So be cool, don’t be, like, all uncool.”

The powerful statement condemning age-shaming and championing women’s empowerment in the reel received a lot of support from her fans.
