Jeremy Piven has suddenly left the Broadway revival of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow, saying that he is seriously sick with a high mercury count. "We have been advised by Jeremy Piven’s medical representatives that he is seriously ill and is unable to fulfill his contractual obligation to Speed-the-Plow," the play's producers said in a statement. "Consequently, he has left the production 10 weeks early." The production, which has been a critical and commercial success, will continue without him. No word yet on a replacement. (Photo: WENN)
