Chrissy Teigen posted a photo to Instagram yesterday celebrating 6 months of sobriety. She says quitting drinking has caused her to have “endless energy, way less anxiety (no more benzos!) and I am happier and more present than ever.”

Teigen was also honest about her journey writing at the beginning, “sometimes I don’t even know if I necessarily won’t ever drink again?” She also quipped that “time has not exactly flown by,” without the help of alcohol.

She still seems very happy with the results so far. As for her current sobriety plan, Teigen says she is “having my full body reset after 1 year, then reevaluating to see my new hopes and wishes for the future!”

Teigen told Today that she decided to get sober after she received backlash last summer after old mean tweets of hers resurfaced. She apologized for the tweets and said she was “an insecure, attention-seeking troll” at the time she wrote them.

She told Hoda Kotb that sending bullying tweets out “felt like you weren’t talking to anybody,” but once she became famous herself, she realized how harmful of an impact those messages can have. You can watch the full interview below:
