When Alec Baldwin appeared on Saturday Night Live last week, fans were laughing at a lot more than the show’s scripted jokes.

Some fans with questionable eyeliners noticed that Baldwin, 66, apparently forgot to zip up his fly in the closing moments of the episode.

This wardrobe oversight quickly resulted in a slew of mocking criticism from internet users. While some focused on Baldwin’s apparent “loser” status, many more made jabs about the actor’s age resulting in declining acuity and joked about his so-called ‘Senior moment.

One X user had a different take on the situation, inferring from Baldwin’s previous scandals and reportedly poor treatment of others, “I have to believe that he is so despised by SNL‘s wardrobe department, that no one bothered to tell him to zip it up before he went on stage for the goodnights….ironically, his jacket is fully closed.”

Earlier in the episode, Baldwin debuted his impersonation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., with some mocking his performance.

In light of Donald Trump’s decision to name Kennedy Secretary of Health and Human Services, Baldwin stated in character, “I’m so honored to be the head of the Department of Health and Human Services. Americans need someone to teach them how to be healthy, like me, a 70-year-old man with movie star looks and a worm in his brain.”

Baldwin famously played a meticulously realistic Trump on SNL for years, a role which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award in 2017. However, in 2021, following Baldwin’s accidental shooting on the set of Rust, James Austin Johnson, took over the role. Still, Baldwin has continued to make relatively regular appearances on the show.

In another return to the screen, Baldwin’s family reality show, The Baldwins, is set to debut in 2025 on TLC network. Baldwin shares seven children with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, and one daughter with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.
