Singer Adele burst into tears when she noticed Celine Dion sitting in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show at Caesars Palace on Saturday night.

While performing her 2015 hit “When We Were Young” and mingling with fans, Adele suddenly stopped mid-song upon spotting Dion, who was seated with her twin sons, Nelson and Eddy. Overcome with emotion, Adele, 36, approached the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, embracing her warmly as the crowd erupted in applause.

In an emotional exchange captured in videos shared on social media, Dion, 56, clasped Adele’s hand, brought it to her cheek, and kissed it tenderly before they parted. Adele took a few moments to regain her composure, wiping away tears as she returned to the stage.

To honor the legendary singer, Adele gave Dion a heartfelt shoutout. “Give it up for Mrs. Celine Dion,” Adele announced, prompting the audience to cheer as Dion stood and waved.

The heartfelt moment resonated deeply with fans, who expressed their emotions online. “This is just so pure and emotional to watch,” one user shared, while another added, “Adele’s reaction to seeing Celine Dion is a beautiful reminder of mutual respect between music icons.”

Adele has long been open about her admiration for Dion. The two also shared a memorable Grammy moment in 2017 when Dion presented Adele with the award for Song of the Year for “Hello.”

Meanwhile, Dion’s public appearances remain rare as she continues her battle with stiff person syndrome, making this reunion even more touching for fans and onlookers alike.

Earlier this year, Dion made a comeback at the Grammy’s in February and later performed at the Paris Olympics in July.
