Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, both testified via video while they were in Monaco to corroborate Kevin Spacey’s testimony about John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball at the actor’s sexual assault trial in London.

John was questioned about his own recollections of Spacey at the party, as Spacey has been accused of grabbing a man’s crotch while the victim was driving, almost causing him to run off the road. This incident allegedly occurred while the men were on the way to John’s party in either 2004 or 2005, according to the man.

This party is hosted annually by John and Furnish at their home in England to raise money for AIDS.

John and Furnish proved that Spacey only attended the party in 2001 and not in 2005 by citing photos that show Spacey at the event in 2001. All guests are photographed each year, but no pictures exist of Spacey there in 2005.

John continued to assert that Spacey arrived in England on a private jet and then went straight to the ball and that he believed Spacey did not fly commercially because of his white tie outfit.

When Furnish testified separately, he also asserted that he did not recall seeing Spacey at the event after 2001.

Both men clearly remember that Spacey did attend the ball in 2001 as “there was a lot of buzz and excitement” due to him being “an Oscar-winning actor,” Furnish stated.

John also shared that Spacey spent the night at their house and drove a Mini Cooper to the event.

The accuser claims that it is possible he got the date wrong but asserts that he would not have forgotten an incident like this, as he almost lost control of the car while he was driving. After the incident, he threatened Spacey by warning him that he would hit him and avoided him afterward. According to the victim, Spacey reacted by laughing at him and telling him that his anger was turning him on.

In addition to this, the man has testified that Spacey assaulted him in the 2000s when he fondled him, making the timeline of the alleged assaults important.

Spacey responded to these allegations by stating that he was friends with the man and that they both took part in romantic actions, but when the man clarified that he was straight, Spacey stopped. When Spacey found out about the police report, he asserted that the man “reimagined” what he claims was consensual touching.

Spacey has pleaded not guilty to all the 12 charges he is facing. These charges all include four men who are accusing him of assault from 2001 to 2013. It is known that during these years Spacey worked at the Old Vic theater as the artistic director in London.
