On May 22, Britney Spears caused trouble on a private jet and received a warning from authorities upon landing. The commotion occurred on her flight from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to Los Angeles. Spears began drinking and later lit a cigarette mid-flight. Although she put the cigarette out when asked by flight attendants, the singer caused enough trouble for Customs officials to issue her a warning upon arrival at LAX.

Fans have begun to speculate if there are deeper issues that may have fueled this behavior. Many are aware of Spears’ mental health struggles in recent years due to the legal fight over her conservatorship. But even after being released, her mental health has suffered, according to those close to her.

In recent weeks, Spears has posted numerous bizarre social media posts where she dances and sometimes speaks with a fake British accident.

The pop star recently split from her ex-con boyfriend, Paul Soliz, to the relief of her family and friends. In one alarming incident last summer, Spears needed the help of EMTs to get off the ground at a West Hollywood hotel after a fight with Soliz.
