Amid their high-profile father’s criminal trial, Sean Combs’ twin daughters had their high school prom.

The event was held on May 17 at the Harbor House in Los Angeles. D’Lila and Jessie, both 18, arrived at the venue late in matching glittery red off-the-shoulder gowns and white acrylic nails. With their respective dates on their arm, the sisters told People, “The party doesn’t start until we walk in. Saved the best for last.”

The twins’ joint Instagram account shared multiple posts about the event and dozens of photos from the night.

In one carousel post’s caption, they informed of D’Lila and her date, “2k25 Prom King and Queen – D’Lila & Emmitt❣️”

The two sisters were dressed by Kellie Ford, who has been their designer for the last few years and styled their 2024 prom look in which they wore matching voluminous black tulle gowns.

Ford, who has also styled WNBA icon Angel Reese, told The Independent, “It took three weeks to bring [the dresses] to life.”

She said, “Last year, we did something fluffy and flirty… this year, senior year, we’re stepping into adulthood. It’s a mermaid style, and the [fabric] is beaded sequins, which are very high quality and very heavy…I wanted the fabric to be the statement.”

Ford added, “Despite what’s going on, it was so amazing,” alluding to Combs’ case.

The twin sisters attended the opening statements for Combs’ trial in New York City on May 12, accompanied by their half-sister, Chance, 19, born to Combs and Sarah Chapman in 2006. The three were also present for Cassie Ventura’s hours-long testimony the following day.

D’Lila and Jessie were born to Combs and Kim Porter, who died in 2018.

Combs faces numerous charges, including trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. The music mogul’s trial has become a hot topic due to the extent of the alleged crimes he committed, but also the friendships he maintained with many A-list celebrities. Many stars have denied having close contact with Combs despite photo evidence of personal relationships.
