Ramona Sarsgaard, the daughter of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard, was arrested during the anti-Israeli protests occurring at Columbia University.

Ramona, who goes to Columbia University, was given a desk appearance ticket for criminal trespassing. She was one of the almost 80 protestors arrested while storming the university’s Butler Library on the evening of May 14 while students prepared for final exams.

Officials noted that at least two school safety officers were injured in the mayhem.

Last week, the elite school temporarily suspended at least 65 students who were part of the protest pending additional investigation. It is unknown if Ramona was one of the suspended students.

A video showed a line of protesters led out in zip ties by NYPD officers and onto waiting police buses after the melee, which started when demonstrators shoved past a security guard at the library’s front entrance, interrupting the students who were studying.

Once they entered the library, they placed large signs over bookshelves that read “Columbia Will Burn” on a glass case inside the library and marked tables with colored tape.

The official mentioned that 33 additional individuals, including people from associated institutions and an unclear number of alumni, were also suspended from campus while Columbia faced public pressure to take significant action against the protesters.

The Trump Administration has taken action against Columbia for failing to crack down on protestors. In recent weeks, the university has taken a stricter stance against the protest movement on campus.
