Angelina Jolie Joins Twitter

You’d think that a powerful actress like Angelina Jolie would be the one to lead the pack and not follow the trend? Well, not in the case of microblogging. The Salt star has joined the likes of other young celebrities by signing up for Twitter four years after the site’s debut … but only so no one else can take her username.

"There was actually someone else using @AngelinaJolie but Angelina requested the account suspended and took it over," a source told Us Weekly.

The now-official account is currently locked and without followers though things may change "later this year." The source told the magazine that Jolie may decide to become more active on Twitter, but don’t expect to hear about the actress’ mundane everyday activities or thoughts – she’s only considered using it to promote her charitable activities. –Natthakan Garunrangseewong
