Internet Sensation And AJ McCarron's Girlfriend Katherine Webb To Be Featured In Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Auburn graduate Katherine Webb, 23, might have thought that her big modeling break came when she won Miss Alabama in 2012, but her real career-launcher is thanks to ESPN's Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, who effusively gushed about the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron during the College Football Bowl Championships earlier this month, when Webb rooted for her man at an Alabama game against Notre Dame — and with no small degree of success, since Alabama won that game 42-14.

And soon Webb may be just as well known for her sports acumen as her beauty, as she has landed a gig with the syndicated news program Inside Edition to cover the Super Bowl behind the scenes, reports USA Today.

"So excited to be chosen to cover the Super Bowl XLVII for @InsideEdition in New Orleans!" Webb tweeted on Monday night.

And this latest news for Webb follows the recent announcement that she will grace a spot in the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, out February 11. And Webb is not new to modeling bikinis, as these sexy pics from her Miss Alabma win demonstrate.

The Super Bowl airs February 3 on ABC.
