President Donald Trump criticized MSNBC and CNN, singling out Rachel Maddow and calling the networks the “enemy of the people.”

“Wow! Rachel Maddow has horrible ratings. She’ll be off the air very soon. MSNBC IS CLOSE TO DEATH. CNN HAS REACHED THE BOTTOM. This is a good thing. They are the Enemy of the people!” Trump wrote in a 1:05 a.m. post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump’s comments came after a contentious roundtable in California, where he criticized Democratic leaders for their handling of the catastrophic wildfires.

The disaster is projected to cost $250 billion.

During the discussion, Trump urged Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to address red tape and delays in rebuilding efforts.

“You have emergency powers, just like I do, and I’m exercising my emergency powers. You have to exercise them also,” Trump said, adding, “I just think you have to allow the people to go on their site and start the process tonight.”

Bass has been widely criticized for being out of the country when the wildfires started.
