Morgan, 45, was traveling in the limo bus for his Turn It Funny stand-up comedy tour when the vehicle overturned in a multi-car crash. The 30 Rock actor was taken via helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, N.J., where he was listed in critical condition, NJ State Police spokesman Gregory Williams told CNN.
In addition to Morgan, six other people were injured in the crash. A passenger traveling with Morgan in the limo bus was killed in the accident that saw the luxury vehicle collide with a pair of tractor-trailers and three other cars.
“The limo bus is the only vehicle that overturned,” Williams told CNN. “Looks like one of the tractor-trailers may have rear-ended that limo bus, but that's preliminary at this time.”
It’s not believed that alcohol played a part in the crash, but police are taking it into consideration in their investigation.
Morgan is best known for being a cast member on Saturday Night Live and playing a caricature of himself on Tina Fey’s award-winning comedy series 30 Rock.
