It is fair to say that there were not many surprises at the 84th Annual Academy Awards Sunday night, but even if you were not a fan of the ceremony — or the winning films — you cannot deny that Hollywood's most glamorous stars really brought their "A" game.

Penelope Cruz looked wondrous. Michelle Williams was impeccable. Even Gary Oldman wowed us a little bit.
