Saturday Night Live this weekend featured Chris Rock as the host and musical guest Prince.

Cold Open

For the Cold Open, Saturday Night Live decided to tackle the topic of Ebola – specifically New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s (Bobby Moynihan) decision to impose a quarantine on nurse Kaci Hickox, who returned from Africa – and said nurse’s particularly cavalier behavior upon returning to Maine. “I don’t care if I have Ebloa," she says. "I’m riding my damn bike.”

Chris Rock Monologue

Chris Rock’s opening monologue started off with a controversial bit about the Boston Marathon. After noting how far 26 miles actually is, Rock said, “You finally get to the finish line, and somebody screams, ‘Run!,’” referring to the finish line bomb. As for the Freedom Tower that was erected following New York City’s 9/11 terrorist attack, Rock said it should be called the, “Never Going in There Tower, cuz I’m never going in there.” He added, “Does this building duck? Who’s the corporate sponsor? Target? What kind of arrogant, Floyd Mayweather crap is this?”

Vlog

In Vlog, Sasheer Zamata played a 15-year-old YouTube celebrity that performs dance tutorial videos. When her father (Chris Rock) walks in on her recording a video, he doesn’t like what he sees – or the comments men are making under her video. Kyle Mooney plays Sasheer’s awkward friend and wannabe boyfriend.

GoPro

Instead of a standard GoPro commercial, SNL’s was for a GoProbe designed for colonoscopies and targeted 40-year-old men. Tagline: “This ain’t your grandpa’s colonoscopy.”

How’s He Doing?

How’s He Doing returned with Kenan Thompson hosting a panel of African American men and women in the media to talk about how black voters think Barack Obama is doing as the president. As Thompson points out, black voters’ approval rating has plummeted 7% – down to 92%. What would it take for them to turn against Obama? Not dreads or failing to discipline Sasha and Malia.

Weekend Update

After Colin Jost and Michael Che delivered a few jokes, including one about Kaci Hickox, Resident Young Person Pete Davidson delivered a monologue about STDs and lambskin condoms for those allergic to latex. Then, Kat Williams and Suge Knight stopped by to defend their recent arrest, which could send Knight to prison for 30 years.

Shark Tank

The Shark Tank TV show features a group of wealthy individuals trying to pick the next big entrepreneur. They all passed on Cindy’s Breakfast Pastas immediately, but gave ISIS a chance to really pitch themselves, talking about how they plan to get rid of the “filthy western pig and the dirty Jew.” They ask, “Who’s ready to invest in crushing the West?” As one of the rich individuals pointed out, “I’m hearing ISIS, ISIS, ISIS, but your pamphlet says ISIL. You’re lacking a unified brand.”

Taylor Swift Vertigo

“Taylor Swift has become the most common cause of vertigo in adults,” goes the commercial for a new medication for those that no longer respond to Dramamine. Apparently, Dramamine does nothing to cure people who’ve long disliked Taylor Swift finding themselves dancing and singing along to “Shake It Off.”

Bank Robbery

Bank robbers hit up a bank, but aren’t quite the ruthless criminals one would expect. First, they help an elderly man sit down in a chair. And then they ask one of the women they’re holding hostage about whether she wants flat or sparking water.

Women in the Workplace

In the 1990s video series made for Women in the Workplace, they’ve covered How to Dress for Success and How to Cry at Work. Now, they’re covering How to Deal with Diversity in the Workplace. “I don’t know your handshakes, but I’ll try,” says Vanessa Bayer to a black colleague. After a couple of other misfires, the woman is advised to show up in a wheelchair and say she’s a lesbian to out-diversity the diverse.

Prince performed "Clouds," "Marz," and "Another Love."
