Gellar announced on Instagram that she is reprising her role as Kathryn Merteuil in the TV show pilot for NBC.
“#throwbackthursday (a bit early in Los Angeles) this picture was taken on the eve of production on the original #cruelintentions. Its me #rogerkumble (director) and #nealmoritz (exec producer) and the other is a picture of us now on the eve of production on the new #cruelintentions,” Gellar wrote on Instagram. “That’s right ‘everybody loves me, and I intend to keep it that way’ #kathrynmerteuil is back!!! I am happy to say that I will be joining them (and @nbctv ) on the new #Crueltv.”
In the TV show reboot of Cruel Intentions, Gellar’s Kathryn is now married to the wealthy Pascal Barrett. Ambitious as ever, she’s looking to take over a company and gain control of her nephew Bash Casey (Taylor John Smith) – the son of her brother Sebastian Valmont and Annette Hargrove.
As of yet it’s unknown of Selma Blair (Cecile Caldwell), Reese Witherspoon (Annette), Ryan Phillippe (Sebastian) or Joshua Jackson (Blaine Tuttle) will be making any appearances on the show.
