On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) recalled Crockett’s feud with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) last month.

Crockett went viral in May after saying Greene had a “bleach blonde bad-built butch body” at a televised hearing. She was responding to Greene’s comment insulting the Democrat’s “fake eyelashes.”

“Can you tell us what led up to that?” Kimmel asked. “Was there anything that we didn’t see that precipitated that?”

“No, it’s just that Marjorie is a little slow,” Crockett said. “What more people don’t know is that on this particular day, we were supposed to have our hearing at 11 a.m… instead, it wasn’t until 8 p.m.”

Crockett said the hearing was delayed because Greene and a few other Republicans were in Manhattan for Donald Trump’s hush money trial.

“So we had to wait for them to come back,” Crockett said. “And the hearing was supposed to be about the [Attorney General], right? We’re supposed to be talking about AG Merrick Garland, and she starts talking about Judge [Juan]Merchan. So now I’m upset because it’s already late at night. I’ve been here all day, ready to work, and she’s still talking about the failed trial. So I had to ask her if she understood because she’s not the brightest.”

“When you clip it up, it looked like it was really fast, but it wasn’t,” Crockett said about the remarks. “There was a lot of time that passed… So they were supposed to either kick her out, or she was supposed to apologize.”

When neither scenario occurred, Crockett “looked over, and I dressed her from head to toe, and I wrote it down.”

When asked about the reactions from other congressmen, Crockett said she had received assurances from both sides of the aisle.

“Soon after, I saw a couple of Republican women that were like, wink, wink… and then I’ve had some Republican men walk up to me and say, ‘I love your eyelashes,'” she recalled.

Kimmel said he gets “the sense that it’s not just Democrats that don’t like [Greene].” Crockett confidently asserted, “Her people don’t like her either.”

When the talk show host asked Crockett if she thought Greene was the “dumbest person in the House of Representatives,” Crockett said she would “be hard-pressed to find someone dumber.”

In 2023, Crocket spoke exclusively to uPolitics.com about how she got into public service

“For me, it was waking up and having to defend people consistently in a state and finding inconsistencies amongst the counties, and seeing that the system just wasn’t fair,” said Crockett on her decision to run for Texas state House. “I just felt like I wasn’t doing enough; I felt like my law degree was not going as far as it could. I felt like they needed someone that actually understood how these laws were affecting people in real-time and not hypothesizing or pontificating about how these laws worked, but had actually lived it.”
