Patrick Schwarzenegger Shares Fiancée’s Reaction To His Incest Scene In ‘White Lotus’
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Patrick, has revealed how his fiancée, Abby Champion, reacted to his incestuous scene in the recently aired season three of The White Lotus.
Following flirty behavior throughout the season, Patrick and his on-screen brother, played by Sam Nivola, shared some racy moments on camera in the show’s second half, scenes that have gone viral.
In an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Patrick disclosed that Champion was “nagging me nonstop” when he first landed the role.
He recalled how she initially was focused on finding out which character would die. “And I’m like, ‘I’m not telling you who dies.’ Like, I signed my life away, Mark [White, show creator] will fire me.”
Patrick noted that although Champion grew to respect his dedication to keeping the season’s finale a secret, she continued to press him as to whether or not his role called for a sex scene.
Patrick recalled, “And I was like, ‘Baby, you know, The White Lotus. I can’t tell you this information. She was like, ‘Just tell me if you get with people.’ And I said, ‘Yes, I do.’ And she was like, ‘Who? Which girls do you get with?’ I was like, ‘I can’t tell you.’”
Patrick and Nivola’s characters’ first kiss was in episode five out of eight.
“She was like, ‘You got with your brother?’” Patrick laughed. “She’s like, ‘You should have told me that way earlier. We would have had no fights.’”
Patrick’s co-star, Charlotte Le Bon, recalled to Vulture that Patrick seemed to have an extremely difficult time filming the kiss scene, stating, “[His] reaction in the episode is his genuine reaction…we all thought he was going to throw up. And Sam was like, ‘It’s fine, it’s just a kiss, calm down.’”
Interestingly, an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published last week heard Patrick assert that he has “zero trepidation” ahead of filming the controversial plot line. He claimed, “I mean, like, were there nerves? Yes. But you know, at the end of the day, that’s not me.” He stated that he even found filming the risqué scenes “fun.”
He said, “I knew it was going to be controversial, but Mike knows what he’s doing. The whole thing stirred up a lot of conversations and interest in the show, for better or worse, but it ended up being great.”
Arnold even commented that he was proud of his son’s nude scene in the first episode.
