MTV announced that it will air a one-hour documentary on Miley Cyrus in the fall.

Cyrus has gone through a radical transformation over the past few years, departing from her Disney image of Hannah Montana by changing her look, style and music.

“People know that I really…don’t care what people think,” Cyrus said in an interview with MTV News when asked about her new image. Proving her point, she recently made headlines for posing nude as part of Marc Jacobs' "Protect The Skin You're In" campaign.

According to the MTV website, the documentary will follow Cyrus as she creates her upcoming album, and will “delve deep into the transformation she has experienced over the past few years.”

For her new album, Cyrus teamed up with Pharrell, who is producing her album, and has been singing her praises.

“I love Miley – she’s really honestly at the core a good person…I would expect that [in her new album] there would be elements of the things that she’s into, but nothing rules her. She’s a fiery Sagittarius; she can’t be put into a box,” Pharrell said in an interview with MTV News.

Cyrus’ album does not have a release date yet, and it will also reportedly feature collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Tyler the Creator and perhaps French Montana. Cyrus also recently collaborated with Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg) on his new single, "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks," and her single, "We Can’t Stop" is currently number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This is not the first artist documentary to be produced by MTV. The network has also aired documentaries on Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Drake.
