Former Fox News personality Megyn Kelly will interview Russian president Vladimir Putin in Russia during an international conference in June for NBC, Kelly’s new employer.

Kelly will be the moderator during the Putin session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an annual event put on by the Kremlin. The forum takes place June 1 – 3.

“Megyn Kelly of NBC News will moderate the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on stage with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. The conversation will cover a wide range of global political and economic topics, including international trade agreements, cyber-security and the impact of rising military tensions,” an NBC News spokesperson said.

Kelly officially began her employment with NBC on Monday. She will have two shows on the air come the fall. A news magazine show will air in June and a morning talk-show will air in the fall.

The confirmation of Kelly’s involvement with the forum comes several weeks after Page Six reported that NBC was laying the groundwork for a Putin interview. At the time, it was believed that long-time NBC personality Matt Lauer would be asked to conduct the interview because of his seniority. Lauer was in last September after poorly conducting a presidential town hall forum between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Kelly, on the other hand, played her own role in the 2016 Presidential election. Trump publicly feuded with her because, unlike many of her Fox News counterparts, did not give Trump favorable coverage.

Trump ultimately decided to sit out of one of the Republican primary debates because Kelly was set to be the moderator.

The Trump campaign is currently under federal investigation for potential collusion with Russian agents. The dynamic between Trump, Kelly and Putin, shoul make for an interesting interview.
