Elon Musk and Grimes have changed their newborn baby’s unusual name from X Æ A-12 to X Æ A-Xii.

Grimes posted a selfie on Instagram with the caption, “We have spilled too much blood and not enough wine.” The photo is black and white and showcases her long dark nails as well as two pig tails and dark makeup.

One user commented on the post, “Did you change the baby name because of Californian laws ? What is the baby’s new name?”

To this Grimes responded with the changed name of her son. She answered to another comment by saying, “Roman numerals. Looks better tbh.”

Musk announced the birth of the child via Twitter on May 5 and confirmed his baby’s name. However, speculation arose as the constitution for the state of California, where the couple lives, says that all names can only use the 26 alphabetical characters of the English Language.

That same day Grimes tweeted an explanation for the name by saying, “elven spelling of Ai (love &/or artificial intelligence)” and A-12 is a “precursor SR-17 ([their] favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.” Grimes also stated that A stands for Archangel, which is her favorite song, with no mention of who the artist is.”

Grimes had not posted an Instagram since the day after her son’s birth on May 6. She posted a photo form Italian Vogue and said, “I was having a baby this week so I literally didn’t realize my Italian Vogue cover came out!! 😦Simulation feels like its at level 10 atm. Might be offline for a bit as of today, but this is an honor of the highest order! Thanks so much

I want to write more but my brain is mega fried right now. Love G”
