Former Rep. George Santos (R-New York) cried while urging President Donald Trump to pardon him from a seven-year prison sentence.

On April 25, Santos was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. He is required to report to prison by July 25, 2025.

He also has experience with legal and public controversies, including making up a false background and embezzling campaign funds, which were spent on Botox, Ferragamo shoes, vacations and various other items.

Santos recently revived his drag persona to sell video clips on Cameo.

On May 8, Santos pleaded for a pardon during an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“Previously, I was not entertaining a pardon because I didn’t know what my judgment was going to be,” he stated. “Now I am in the process of filling an application to a pardon for the president.

“I’ll take a commutation, clemency, whatever the president is willing to give me. And, you know, I don’t want this to seem like a political pitch. I want it to be a fair pitch.

“I think no one better than President Trump to know what a weaponized Justice Department looks like. And you know this is – this is exactly it. Seven years and three months in prison for first-time offenders over campaign matters just screams over the top.”

Later in the interview, the former New York congressman, while holding back tears, stated that if he had the chance he would tell Trump that he would “appreciate if [he] can give [him] a consideration.”

“I’m not an altar boy,” he added. “I’m not pretending to be one, but I’m not a hardened criminal who deserves to be in prison for seven years off of what I would call ambitious mistakes and something that I deeply regret.”
