Deadpool 2 is coming June 1, 2018, 20th Century Fox said yesterday morning.

Filming is believed to begin in June of this year.

Deadpool 2 will be directed by David Leitch who will be taking over Tim Miller. Writers of the original Deadpool, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, will also write the sequel.

Ryan Reynolds is set to return for his role as the titular anti-hero, and Josh Brolin will be playing Cable.

Deadpool hit theaters in 2016 to critical acclaim and grossed $783 million throughout its theatrical run, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
