Valeriy Tarasenko, a Ukrainian businessman was shot in the parking lot of a resort in Quebec, Canada.

Tarasenko was an association with a Ukrainian woman who posed as Anna Rothchild while visiting Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, is expected to make a full recovery soon.

According to the Quebec police, the shooter escaped from the scene in a black SUV.

Tarasenko is currently in a dispute with Inna Yashchyshyn, the woman who visited Donald Trump’s estate in Florida under false pretenses.

According to Tarasenko, he had hired Yashchyshyn back in 2014 to stay in his Miami condo and look after his two daughters, though Yashchyshyn has been under investigation for her charity that launched in 2015, United Hearts of Mercy.

The charity also shares a name with Tarasenko’s nonprofit in Canada that began in 2010. The charity was, on paper, intended to help impoverished children.

A report sent to the FBI by the charity’s accountant suggested that the charity was a front for organized crime.

Tarasenko spoke out regarding Yashchyshyn’s visit to Mar-a-Lago, calling it an attempt to “seek out new sources of money.”

While at Mar-a-Lago, Yashchyshyn mingled with Trump, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) as well as others notables. The event earlier this year created unease regarding security precautions at the resort.

Yashchyshyn claims that Tarasenko is a former boyfriend who feels jilted and has launched a wholesale smear campaign against her while she has attempted to file restraining orders against him.

She says she is innocent of any charges while Tarasenko has made statements in an affidavit that call her “an active member of an international criminal organization,” as well as a Russian spy.

“What boils my blood most is people even thinking I’m Russian or a Russian agent,” Yashchylshyn said. “Russian people don’t exist to me since they invaded my country and killed my family and took homes.”
