In his first TV interview since his dramatic NBC exit early this year, Conan O’Brien says that had the roles been reversed, he wouldn’t done what Jay Leno did – publicly hand down The Tonight Show to a successor, only to take it back seven months later. "That’s me you know," Conan tells 60 Minutes. "Everyone’s got their own way … of doing things."

Currently, the 46-year-old comedian is in the middle of a sold-out concert tour before he starts his new talk show on TBS in November. In the interview scheduled to air Sunday, O’Brien explains his decision to part ways with NBC as a preemptive move. "This relationship is going to be toxic and maybe we just need to go our separate ways," he said. Both Leno and NBC had no comment. –KRIS ALCANTARA
