Casey Abrams Eliminated From 'American Idol'
On American Idol Thursday night, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, and Casey Abrams made it into the bottom three. Abrams was voted off, and left saying, “it was my time to go.” For his last performance on the show he went into a soulful rendition of “I Put A Spell On You,” even looking directly at fellow contestant, Haley Reinhart, when singing the line, “because you’re mine,” adding fuel to the rumors that they are in fact dating.
Prior to the send off, even the contestants couldn’t avoid the upcoming royal wedding. The final six contestants all went on a trip to the British consulate to celebrate “Brit Week,” where they posed for pictures, and took in the culture.
Further along the contestants all worked together to perform a medley in honor of Carole King’s work, culminating in all six contestants sitting down on the stairs singing "It's Too Late Baby," together. Then the contestants created a Ford Music Video for the Madness classic, “Our House.” Followed by a special performance by Bruno Mars with full backing band, performing his new single, “The Lazy Song.”
