Brian Austin Green Confirms Split with Megan Fox On Podcast
Brian Austin Green confirmed that he and his wife Megan Fox have decided to split after almost 10 years of marriage.
There has been speculation that Fox and Green were not together when photos of rapper Machine Gun Kelly and Fox surfaced and a source confirmed that Green and Fox had not been practicing social distancing together. Green formally announced the news on Monday May 18 in his podcast …With Brian Green and titled the episode Context.
Green explained that he had felt distant from Fox since she came back from filming the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass, which also stars Machine Gun Kelly. Production of the movie was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Green explained that he gave Fox some space before having any discussion about their relationship. In the podcast he said, “She said, ‘I realized when I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience and I think that might be something worth trying for me. I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way. It wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit… and so we did.”
Green went on to say that Fox did not cheat on him with Machine Gun Kelly. He stated, “I’ve never met him, but Megan and I talked about him and they’re friends at this point. And from what she’s expressed, he’s a really just nice, genuine guy. I trust her judgment. She’s always had really good judgment. I don’t want people to think that [they] are villains or I was a victim in any way with any of this — because I wasn’t. This isn’t something new for us. This is something new for people to experience and hear about in the press … but it’s not new for us.”
Green and Fox have three kids together, Noah Shannon Green, Journey River Green and Bodhi River Green. The two originally met while filming the movie Hope & Faith in 2004 when Fox was 18 and Green was 30. They got engaged in 2006, but called off their plans to marry in February 2009. In 2010 the two got married, but in 2015 Fox filed for a divorce. The next year, Fox revealed that she was pregnant and that they couple was doing much better
