Another one bites the dust. True Blood stud Alexander Skarsgard, 34, and actress Kate Bosworth, 28, have ended their two-year relationship. The blond pair, who co-star in the upcoming remake of Straw Dogs, also starring James Marsden and James Woods, reportedly broke up "awhile ago." "It was very mutual," a source told Us Weekly.

The Swedish Skarsgard, who is most famous for playing vampire Eric Norman on HBO's True Blood, made news recently when he was awarded an honorary degree from Leeds Metropolitan University in London, where he only spent six months in 1996 before leaving to pursue his acting career in the United States.

Bosworth's most successful acting venture was her breakout in 2002's surfer chick flick, Blue Crush. When she played Lois Lane in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns (2006), opposite Brandon Routh, critics were ambivalent about her performance. Anthony Lane, film critic for The New Yorker, famously said Bosworth was "not a patch on" her Lois Lane predecessors, which include Margot Kidder and Desperate Housewives' Teri Hatcher.

After Straw Dogs, Skarsgard, who has been promoting LGBT rights, will appear opposite Kirsten Dunst in the Lars Von Trier film, Melancholia, and alongside Rihanna and Taylor Kitsch in Battleship, based on the popular board game. True Blood is currently in its fourth season on HBO.
