Former celebrity couple Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen are reportedly at war after being divorced for a year.

When they divorced in April 2024, Fisher and Cohen told their friends that there would be no drama, tension, or bitter legal battles.

They announced their divorce in joint Instagram Stories, in which they uploaded an image of themselves in athletic wear.

“After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” they wrote in the caption. “In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage.

“We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate you respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

Insiders have told The Sun that initial efforts at an amicable split turned sour, as top Hollywood lawyers are carving up the ex-couples’ $159 million fortune.

“They put on a show of making it seem civilized at first, but that’s all gone now,” one source told the outlet. “Nobody is pretending anymore. It’s war.”

The source also noted that Fisher “often said she had felt obliged to put her career on the back-burner while the children were small.

“For years, it felt like Sacha was in the driving seat,” they added. “But now that the children are growing up and getting a bit more independent, she is planning to refocus her efforts, start writing again and take on bigger roles.”

Reflecting on Mad About The Boy, a film in which the actress portrayed Bridget Jones’ neighbor, Rebecca, the source declared that Fisher enjoyed “being back in the thick of things with the recent Bridget Jones movie.

“Working on a big, buzzy movie set again made her realize just how much she had missed the business,” they added. “But Sacha is not happy about it at all – she’s come out fighting, and it’s come as a bit of a shock.”
