Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Jennie Garth has recently disclosed that her marriage to Dave Abrams underwent extreme stress due to her failed IVF treatments.

Garth and Abrams split for ten months in 2018 due to their continual failed IVF attempts. “That was really, really hard on both of us individually and on our relationship,” she told Self. “[But] When we decided to let go of that possibility [of having children together], it sort of freed us up to love each other in a different way.”

Garth said, “Dave is just an incredibly supportive, loving person… He’s just always thinking of how he can make me happy and make the day go better. I’m so grateful for the generosity of his spirit and his love.”

Garth shares three children, Luca Bella, 27, Lola Ray, 21, and Fiona Eve, 17, with her ex-husband Peter Facinelli, whom she was married to from 2001 to 2013.

Garth acknowledged that her split with Abrams occurred right around the time that she and Facinelli were struggling to co-parent their children. However, earlier this year, they reunited on Garth’s podcast, I Choose Me, and she confirmed they had since smoothed over their relationship. She declared them “officially friends.”

“It happened so easily. I was nervous to ask him honestly because it hasn’t been the easiest for us, and we have been really putting up a good face for the world,” she said. “We wanted to finally tell the truth and let people know that this evolution could happen for us, and it [is a] situation many people…[deal with].”

She exclaimed, “I’ve been blocked on his socials for so long that I stopped caring years ago. But I’m unblocked now. That’s big news.”

As her youngest daughter prepared for college, Garth said that Abrams is enthusiastic about an empty-nester status.

“Oh my god, my husband’s so excited,” she said. “Not that he doesn’t love the girls. He loves the girls like they’re his own, but we have two still living at home. The 21-year-old lives back at home with us now, which I love. I want them all the live with me forever.”
