Ivanka Trump has separated from her brothers and father in the family’s $250 million tax fraud suit, replacing the attorneys assigned to defend her. Her former lawyers are still representing her brothers, Don Jr. and Eric.

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit in September alleging that Donald Trump, his three eldest children and his real estate firm increased documented property values to receive economic benefits such as cheaper loans. The Trumps have denied these allegations.

James has asked the court to put a restriction in place that prevents the Trumps from conducting business in New York.

Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric all hired Clifford Robert and Michael Farina to be their lawyers shortly after the suit. Ivanka also independently hired Reid Figel and Michael Kellogg for her own defense team.

However, on Tuesday, Figel and Kellogg left the case, and Ivanka hired Bennet Moskowitz as her sole lawyer. Robert and Farina are also no longer representing her. Moskowitz recently represented the estate of Jeffrey Epstein.

This isn’t the first time Ivanka has distanced herself from her family. She did not attend her father’s presidential campaign announcement at Mar-a-Lago in November of last year, saying she would not be involved in his campaign.

The trial is scheduled to begin in October.
